Parq Brunch Menu Preview with U-T San Diego

Since opening in downtown last October, Parq Restaurant has been on the San Diego foodie radar. This weekend Parq will launch its highly anticipated, one-of-a-kind themed brunch. The Alice in Wonderland inspired brunch will be served from 11am to 4pm on April 19th and (just announced ) April 26th.

I recently had the pleasure to sit down with Pam Kragen, a feature writer at U-T San Diego, to sample a few of Parq Restaurant's new Wonderland Brunch menu items. The tasting was facilitated and prepared for us by Parq's talented Chef Errol LeBlanc.

Here are some of the fantastic menu items we sampled with descriptions:

  • Classic Bennie with artisan canadian bacon, house made muffin, and hollandaise sauce

  • Grilled Vegetable Bennie with heirloom tomato, avocado, spinach, and garlic hollandaise sauce

  • Mac and Cheese with pork belly, smoked gouda, aged jack, port salut, queso fresco, and chile verde

  • Chilaquiles Rojos made with pasilla salsa roja, short rib, cotija cheese, and crema

  • Chilaquiles Verdes with crispy pork belly, cotija cheese, and crema


  • Chicken and Waffles with buttermilk fried Mary's chicken, blue corn waffles, and spiced blackberry compote

Chef Errol never ceases to amaze with his ability to serve the classics like eggs benedict, which was one of Pam's essential brunch favorites, while also creating options with a twist like my personal favorite, chilaquiles. The savory options were topped off with some sampling of the sweeter side of brunch. The warm Sasquatch Bread, a twist on the classic monkey bread, is one of my favorites to date. 

Here are some of the sweeter options that we sampled: 

  • Warm Donuts with cinnamon sugar and jalapeño ganache

  • Chocolate Chocolate Chip Waffles with Nutella cream cheese, and compressed strawberries 

  • Sasquatch Bread with maple peaches and cream
